Still don't understand how they planned to squeeze Far Rock, Long Beach, West Hempstead, Babylon and all those diesels onto the Montauk branch. LIRR needs the Atlantic branch. A better plan would have been to build an extension between the Montauk branch and Dunkirk St to Linden Blvd. using that MOW/freight area. |
