Also, the IND stations were planned with greater distances between stations than the IRT and BMT because all stations had entrances and exits planned at both ends of the station rather than one in the center the way many older stations were planned.All of them? If true, it's too bad they didn't follow through at 23/6. I used that station during rush hours for many years, both before and after the 30-story residential towers lining the avenue went up. Particularly for an IND station, it is severely underbuilt to meet today's needs. |
