I'm sure you remember how the negotiations went:Union on behalf of conductors: Ok we'll accept the same amount of crews for these larger cars, but no more reversible seats. NJ-ARP: Whoa whoa, no more reversing seats? Only if they're 2x2, no more middle seat! If there were 3x2 seating the result would have been off-peak Hoboken division trains with only one car open. |
