Bush 41 did launch the first war with Iraq, so a fair number of US soldiers and many, many Iraqis died as a result of his commands.Don't forget his mishandling of the AIDS crisis, or his efforts at dismantling any infrastructure to protect us against the rich. Killing someone indirectly still kills them. However, the first Iraqi war, whether you agree with it or not, wasn't based on a lie. Iraq really had invaded and occupied Kuwait. Kinda sorta. Hussein was an American puppet who made sure to get permission from the US before he invaded Kuwait. As such, the war was utterly unnecessary, and Bush should have been forced to take responsibility for it. |
