Speaking of light rail I see site is only about a 10 minute walk from the LIRR Long Island City terminal. I know there was a proposal to have light rail run along the LIRR Lower Montauk branch between Jamaica and LIC. This might be a great way for people from central and eastern Queens to get to the site, or the LIRR might restore passenger service on the branch to avoid overloading the Main Line once ESA opens. |
