Hello Bill

That view is looking north along the 3rd Avenue (or 2nd Ave line) running above Pearl Street, lower Manhattan, just where the 3rd Ave El structure turns right (or east) into Coenties Slip S Curve. The train is heading south towards Coenties and soon South Ferry Terminal. You can see the south end of the Hanover Square single center island platform station between the two tracks in the distance.

Yes, I have found a number of that entities' captions or dates quite wrong -- and emailed them --- never any reply or correction to photos I indicated data issues with.
