Sure. LIRR's capacity is a tiny fraction of the subway's. Also, the LIC station is in one corner of LIC, not at all central.But if employment in LIC grows, eventually it will make sense for LIRR to send some trains there for the people coming to work from far eastern Queens and LI. Though HPA is more central to LIC as a whole. |
