Posted by ntrainride on Wed Nov 7 21:51:59 2018, in response to Re: Tour of East Side Abscess New LIRR Terminal Taking Shape Beneath Grand Central Terminal, posted by Joe V on Wed Nov 7 20:45:42 2018. but "access to jones beach from queens or brooklyn" already has the most efficient transportation infrastructure there could possibly exist dedicated towards that goal...high speed electric trains from numerous in-city stations to the closest location available for rapid transfer to direct non-stop buses to the beach.pretty damn stupid, wouldn't cha' say to just ignore those efficient extant facilities but instead schedule buses from various corners of brooklyn and run them on traffic-filled parkways all the way out to the beach? trust me, even taking the parkways all the way, barely anybody would be willing to put up with that nonsense. |
