Ah. The way SEPTA is implementing it on their Regional Rail, entering and exiting one of the turnstiled stations without going anywhere is supposed to refund the entire fare. So you'd probably need a card with a same-zone fare on it, but it would never need refilling. This was more intended for people who wanted to go out and buy a snack or something while waiting, because they decided to painstakingly exclude everything resembling a shop or vending machine from the paid zone. |
