Yeah this summer the Amtraks left from Track 24. They all arrived on 38 AFAIK.Last summer all arrivals and departures left from 38. I believe the frequency was low enough in '17 that they could drop off passengers S/B on 38, turn the train around the loop, bring it up the east side landers to CP1, reverse back down to 38, and pick up passengers N/B In '18 they increased the number of trains such that this was no longer possible. S/B trains would still discharge passengers on 38 but when they reversed at CP1 they'd back in to 24 to pick-up pax for their N/B runs. This allowed 38 to be freed up earlier. The '18 pattern also allowed amtrak passengers to wait in the main concourse, which was somewhat nicer than the low-ceiling area out by 38 |
