Metro North will free up far less space in GCT, like 3 trains per hour, than what LIRR plans to run, which is 24 or 28 trains per hour.In other words, there is no room, and that ignores the 3+1 operation of the Park Avenue tunnel, the reverse peak of which is run to capacity. |
