I probably should have explained that the dirty looks reference wasn’t in regards to railfanning, but more so because I’m black. The security guards actually politely shamed a young Western kid to move back from the platform so I could take a photo on the Ginza Line.FWIW, I didn’t go anywhere obscure railfan wise, so it may have explained why my presence wasn’t shocking. It's not like I went out to Toride on the Joban Line. It was mostly rides on the Ginza and Yamanote Lines. |
