Posted by ntrainride on Thu Oct 18 07:26:06 2018, in response to Re: New York City Comptroller Proposes Plan to Integrate Commuter Rail, MTA, posted by BrooklynTrain on Wed Oct 17 22:04:19 2018. the best fare structure in this region is the $3.25 ticket price (all times) on the lirr babylon branch between babylon and rockville centre. afa distance traveled goes, nothing beats it.and the service, for a suburban train is excellent. it is the closest we have to a "super express" "local" train line. you could (and i have) live off this line car-free. connects to stores, supermarkets, libraries, movies, offices, government offices, parks, clubs, restaurants...and makes connections with numerous buses and the montauk branch. |
