In 1913, there was a plan to build a Brooklyn version of the High Line that would have connected Bush Terminal, Brooklyn Army Terminal, LIRR 65th Street, New York Dock, 8th Ward Market, the Delaware Lackawanna & Western 25th Street Terminal, the State Barge Canal, and the Municipal Piers at 29th, 30th and 35th Streets. It was called the Brooklyn Marginal Railway.

Now, there were no plans to connect it to Jay Street, but that would have been fascinating to see.
