Implementation of CBTC on Queens Blvd. is years away. It is not totally installed yet. Testing takes years. And implementation will no doubt be late.CBTC on the L was years late. CBTC testing on the 7 is years late. I know it is partially up on the 7, don't know if it's on the entire line, but if it is, it is still being closely watched. By the time it is fully up and running the R211's will be here and the R46's will be a memory. The only reason why there is a rush is so railfans want to get their exclusive pics and videos of cars on different lines. There is no reason to send all the parts needed to repair R46's down to CI Maintenance Shop. They have a lot of models to deal with as it is and don't need another one! |
