It shows R-22 7592 with an X in what appears to be masking tape before the number board. Did that signify anything? The photo is dated 1/25/63, was there something going on at that time? The "X" indicates that the car was operating as a trailer. Forty cars from groups R-17-R-28 were so treated. I do not know the reason why this was done and it was not permanent. Larry, RedbirdR33
