Re: Why Does NYU Have Its Own Private Bus System?

Does Adelphi still have its own shuttle to the LIRR ? Nassau County bus service has never been very plentiful near it, unlike Hofstra U.

Back in the 1960's, Dowling College belonged to Adelphi ("Adelphi Suffolk College") I have no idea if they ran a shuttle bus between them, though they do have a facility in an old public school building in downtown Sayville.

Dowling College signs at Oakdale station are gone. There are signs for Amity Education, which is housed in the old LaSalle Military Academy.
