Ok, I went yesterday and got a good look for myself.I like it. It fits well with the Oculus. I do think the mosaics will be very hard to maintain, though. They should have either used the flat-white look throughout, or put the wording into the tiles, IND-style. Grand, Contract 1-4 styles can be used elsewhere, like Rector on the R/W (jackhammer that 1971 bathroom look to shit). In other postings, I've lamented the loss of the IND look at 8th Ave (L), Fulton (J/Z) and Broad Street. But I do agree the BRT/BMT looks installed look great. |
