The IND lettering was used at Fulton and at Broad Streets. I think it should have been kept- it was original to those stations. At Fulton, the black and white tiles spelled out "FULT'N". Really.

Just as I think Grand Street and 57/6th should retain their 1968 looks, even though it's not particularly attractive.
