My company has "business casual" Friday's and for the entire summer. There is a dress code that explains and gives examples of the does and do nots. If you are meeting with outsiders, I am expected to wear as suit and tie no matter the day or time of year.As my job, duties and responsibilities has changed over the years, I don't normally do casual Fridays. In the summer I tend to come in without a suit, but with a nice pair of slacks, button down shirt with a tie (and if I don't come in with a tie, I have several I keep in my office and put one of those on when I get in. I also keep a white dress shirt and a blue suit in the office just in case). Growing up in the 70's I like Avid Reader had school clothes, Sunday going to church (or "fancy" family function)clothes and play clothes. |
