Did you walk whatever remains in the 4th ave. tunnel, of the curving ramp structures on the Original subway that ascended up to GC?

in the early 90s, an employee let me enter behind the door on the south wall of the shuttle --> Lex concourse that I thought led directly to the garbage platform - instead there were remains, for a short distance - iron pillars & empty trackways - for both express tracks that ended at the tower, where you could see down into the tunnel south of GC
