Imagine having to manually open & close doors at each end of every car, at each station! In this day & age; what the Hell were they (MBTA) thinking when these cars were ordered!My train actually hit 90+ on the n/b trip to Hartford. Some nice high speed rolling through there. Some cars had crappy to NO a/c. With the overcrowding, schedules were difficult to maintain. People were told they had to either stand or wait for another train. Waiting was not an option for me. I stood. We were allowed to stand in the vestibules, and the car with the flat wheel provided for extra special effects. Things got so bad that one train had to be coupled to another to accommodate all the crowds. Then, at every station down to NH the train had stop TWICE, once for the front section, once for the rear section. And of course, no toilets. |
