I had no idea that the Gates could MU with the R-38. (Kidding)Larry, RedbirdR33 That was Memorial Day 1980. There was a special Nostalgia Special, IIRC started out at 57th St & 6th using R-1/9's. Then to the Transit Museum for a bit, then the (F) Culver line to 18th Ave. At 18th Ave we changed to the BU's to Coney Island. The R-38's acted as "horses" with the BU's sandwiched in between the R-38's. Bill Newkirk |
