Why do units that deal with employee discipline in major government agencies, sometimes have such misleading, euphemistic names like "Labor Relations". At least in FDNY, when you get in trouble, they send you to the aptly titled "Bureau of Investigation and Trial Services" (BITS). They want people to know this unit's function is to behead employees. "Labor Relations" sounds like workers and management are going to discuss things over tea. |
