The option could still be used but at greater expense since a longer subway infrastructure would have to be built to connect to the remaining portion of the line. The intent of the SAS was to get 2 of the Bx IRT lines off Lex Av and the closeness of the Wh Pl Rd Line to the Dyre Line at E180 made take over of the Wh Pl Rd line by the SAS a better option than Pelham. |
