There probably was not enough room for a 4 track local station with side platforms at Nostrand/Fulton. This afternoon, I learned that the upper express tracks and platforms run the width of Fulton St, almost building line to building line. I still wonder why the local tracks are not above the express ones, like on Bergen/Smith Sts? |
