R-179

Posted by rbseabeach on Mon Apr 16 14:16:28 2018 Just rode R-179 # 3093 on the J. I also rode #3060. I noticed in the A car there is an advertisement frame next to the door to the cab. This is a good idea since these large blank surfaces were vulnerable to acid vandalism. ALso the fiberglass frame around the side windows is A light blue color instead of the whitish color of the R-160. There are couple of other cosmetic changes as well I also think it is pretty cool that the J currently has R-32, R-42, R-143, R-160 & R-179's in service. I have now seen the R-179 4 cars sets on the J what about the 5 car sets for the A/C? is set 3010-19 in service somewhere?
