Post GOH, R29 8660 had an R62/R32 GOH inspired interior (bars instead of metal straps, more "finished" roof with less panels).There's also a very minor oddball scenario with the R142A (now R188s): The first 10 (possibly 20) Kawasaki built cars (7211-7220) originally had the end door lock near the ceiling rather than on the door handle, which is more the custom in Asia. You can see a square metal plate over where that lock was. For the current fleet, I think the bench seat R62s have since been turned normal, so the only oddballs are the experiments being done with R160s such as the flip up seats on the one eastern division set, and the removed end seats on the E. There's also the 13 R160B trains assigned to Coney Island with the Siemens propulsion system. |
