In station loudspeaker announcements this morning all mentioned an employee fatality. Conditions were very crowded on the 1/2/3 as trains seemed to be running less frequently at least around 9am (when trains did come, there did not appear to be slowdowns due to congestion). The announcements seemed to subdue everyone -- my only fault is that they kept repeatedly stating "near the 125th St station" but no mention of which lines (there are three 125th St stations). |
