Excellent R-10's on the D-Brighton photos you had posted and shared. Thanks a lot, Bill! For the record, I was able to ride a ten-car set of the R-10's on the "D" Brighton in regular service only once, despite having seen them a few times along 6th Avenue in Manhattan. It was on Independence Day, July 4, 1980 on a northbound run from Avenue U to 145th Street lower level, with #3207 as the lead north motor unit (and still having its blue doors/grey panels interior), #3330 as the rear south motor unit. #3047 was NOT the only R-10 to have a R-16 storm door (that car collided with R-15 #5962 at 207th Street Yard in 1974). #3141 also received an R-16 storm door as well, as seen when it was painted green in service. -William A.
