In retrospect, they probably should have GOHed the GE R-27s as well. Despite their lack of A/C they probably could have been used on part time rush hour only lines just to make service.I think GOH R-27's wouldn't be worth it because incoming new R-68's made them eligible for retirement. Maybe if no R-68's were ordered, perhaps a GOH for the R-27's. Bill Newkirk |
