It was posted here, that the Low-V's were pulled off the mainlines in 1964, so there would be no contrast between riding the R-33's/36's and "old fashioned" pre-war cars, by tourists who would come to NYC for the Fair.It they had not been pulled for this artificial reason, how long do people think that the remaining Low-V fleet on the mainlines could have lasted (re: maintenance and MDBF)? |
