This was a major crosstown route running between Saint Clair Avenue and Washington Park. Source: Cleveland Trolleys in Color by Mr. Edward A. Ridolph Tuscarora Almanac – March 7, 2017 – The Book of Wrecks Newburgh, New York CSX Corporation A southbound CSX River Line freight train derailed in Newburgh at a point where the railroad runs alongside River Road near the Diesel Direct Fuel Terminal. A hi-lo boom tractor from the nearby Steelways Shipyard was fouling the track when it was struck by the train. All three engines and fourteen of seventy seven cars derailed. Fortunately there were only a few minor injuries. The lead engine was 5281, an ES40 DC and the second engine was 6157, a GP40-2. The River Line and River Road will likely be closed for some days.
