Re: [PHOTOS] Washington, Baltimore & Annapolis

Did a bit of Googling. First is a 1928 engineering paper by EE Norris at Archive.org . Its main value for us is a short equipment summary showing that they used lots of trailers.

The second item is a nice website by Hugh Hayes called Annapolis Railroad History . There are a lot of sections covering the WB&A and predecessors but they are worth plowing through for the pictures. There are several shots of the LIRR cars. There are also some early wooden electric cars that have the same upper window as our mystery El car. These are closed vestibuled cars however so we are only seeing an owner or builder's family styling. Could they have converted a steam car to trailer service by adding the El car end railings?
