The Shuttle is under-utilized, as are reverse peak #7 trains.. We don't need a 3rd subway.The uptown PATH can't be extended anywhere. It was cut back a block when the IND got built and now permanently blockaded. Everything else sounds a far harder than extending #7 to SEC, which I think would be in the $8 - $10B range.#7 extension does not require much tunneling in Manhattan. |
