According to an advertising card that was displayed in the early IND cars, then station at Bway/Nassau was referred to as “Fulton St” even though the station was never called that until the recent name change. It actually should have properly been called Fulton St from the beginning since that is the only IND station on Fulton St in Manhattan. Contrast that station naming with Steinway St which runs lengthwise under Steinway St in LIC. |
