I always wondered why it wasn't originally named Broadway Junction. In 1946, when the station opened, you could transfer to 6 BMT lines:Jamaica, 14th St-Canarsie, 14th St-Fulton, the remaining Fulton St el, Lexington Ave or Fulton-Lex, and Broadway-Brooklyn lines. |
