Posted by ntrainride on Sun Feb 11 23:41:57 2018, in response to Re: too bad google doesn't street-view railroad lines, posted by Henry R32 #3730 on Sun Feb 11 22:16:51 2018. now if that works i suppose the question of whether a railroad r.o.w. is considered a "public highway" would come up. if owned by a private company they obviously posess the private property...but it's in plain sight to everyone else.i'm no lawyer but my gut feeling is no, they can't legally prevent anyone from viewing the property. however, street view is showing the pedestrian pov...and walking the tracks is illegal. maybe the railroads would offer a pay-per-view product. |
