Exactly! The whole philosophy behind SMEE, moreover, is that cars from different classes could be run together in a train. The ability to make service, because all your rolling stock is interchangeable, is something we've forgotten about with the tech trains. How difficult can it be to write software that can work with other classes of NTTs, and design electrical and braking equipment that works across the board? It used to be the standard of the day. |
