They were suppose to be work cars assigned from ENY Yard, but they did not last long though. Eventually, they were sent to 1st Avenue-44th Street in Brooklyn, via SBK and Cross Harbor, and then out to New Jersey for scarp.R-10's #3092 and #3324 were once also painted yellow, plus two other ones as well (for a total of up to six of them), all of them being G.E.-equipped. They too did not last long, and #3092 and #3324 went back into regular passenger service, but had to be painted in the MTA's silver/blue paint scheme. -William A. Padron ["Fulton-East N.Y."] |
