That is a point that we deal with in lighting design since the idea of saving money by turning off lights may be eaten into by shortening their life, which adds the cost of the replacement bulb and labor. Modern lighting design encourages the use of sensors which would automatically adjust lighting levels as appropriate. With LED lamping, it is a perfect fit since it has no significant effect on life span . |
