A tunnel that long (about 6 miles) would likely cause driver fatigue, and therefore accidents. It would have to be built with some way to combat that in mind. At a minimum, have mileposts so people can keep have an idea of where they are. If possible, maybe have build an island in the middle with part of the route on its surface, and two shorter tunnels connecting the shores to the island. |
