It connects with an internal dispatching program, which feeds the train's ID and destination to the train. Bluetooth receivers at the entering and leaving ends of each station help with the train tracking to provide approximate arrival times, and also to tell you what the train is, and where it is going.The information being fed to the train also has the anticipated schedule, and what track it should be on at each station. So if a local train is re-routed to the express track, the clocks at the express station might still show the train arriving on the local track, despite the train now being on the express. |
