Speed limit there is 80mph. At that constant speed you really got to be on your toes, and have good tires. A blowout at 80mph could ruin your whole day.You can come up Fed Ex tandems doing 60-65 real quick. Also at that speed, My Subaru Forester gobbles the gas in great gobs. Cuts gas mileage just about in half. No boxer engine economy at that speed. But excessive speed is not my biggest concern on the road nowadays. Its texting while driving. I do a lot of driving & I see about 1 in 4 drivers texting. I'd make the fine start at $200. with 4 points. Second offense fine plus 6 mos suspension. They should consider penalizeing texting while driving on a par with DUI. |
