BNSF has demonstrated it out here.Engineers and conductors were told to not touch the horn control, and sure enough all of the horns were properly sounded by the train without their help. This was not so much as something that the railroad was going to implement right away, but it did prove to the union that their jobs were becoming unnecessary and if they made too much trouble the railroad could do without them.
