I thought there was no cab signal drop there at all?Yet another PTC preventable crash (was PTC technically viable in 1996? That's three years before Amtrak installed it on the Shore Line). Right, designing for a crash is a lousy way to do it, you should design to avoid the crash in the first place, i.e. PTC. In terms of cab signaling, I was referring to the use of cab signal drops, which I believe have a crude method of speed enforcement based on a series of signal indications? |
