Thanks to BrooklynTrain for questioning the expression "Oyster Bay Shuttle." The current timetable, effective through February 25, 2018, shows only one such train, number 501, with a T note. It's the first train out of Oyster Bay on a weekday morning.

I recall more use of shuttles four or five years ago, but that is past history. What is important is that the ease of future riders and operation be considered right now before construction.
