Why no supplement to NRQD today? 1 hour from Bay Ridge to Atlantic approx 2pm |

Posted by BrooklynTrain on Sun Dec 17 17:13:17 2017 Almost every weekend many trains run on 12 min supplememt headways to support trackwork. Inexplicably the N R D and Q were all running frequent headways. Why wouldnt they use reduced headways especially when everything was squeezed onto 4th Ave local and further squeezed via bridge at DeKalb?Catastrophic delays ensued. 1 hour from when we left Bay ridge until we arrived at Atlantic Ave. I bailed at Atlantic to avoid any further delays. Someone majorly screwed up by not having a supplement. Employees called in severely late to work, restaurant plans were either severely delayed or cancelled, theaters delayed their start times by 30 minutes etc. Who was responsible for this major screwup? The appropriate supplements need to run. |
