Re: Tuscarora Almanac for December 17

Posted by northshore on Sun Dec 17 15:45:08 2017, in response to Re: Tuscarora Almanac for December 17, posted by W.B. on Sun Dec 17 11:17:22 2017.

The Third Avenue Railways conversion of the New Rochelle and Mount Vernon to Subway routes in 1950 were Westchester, not Bronx routes. They were legally not Westchester Street Transportation routes, but Westchester Railways routes. Their designation were Routes A and B respectively. They had new Twin Coach buses exclusively for these 2 routes. In 1973 Westchester County DOT changed the A and B designation to Routes W42 and W43 respectively.
