Tuscarora Almanac – December 16, 1922 – The Book of Last Runs

Union Ferry Company

The Union Ferry Company, once the dominant ferry operator on the East River lowers the flag for the last time. The three remaining routes; Fulton Street, Whitehall Street-Atlantic Avenue and Whitehall Street-Hamilton Avenue are taken over by New York City. The city acquires nine boats as well.

The consist was (s) 112, 117, 113, 114, 108, 109, 111, 110.

The "F" Queens - 6th Avenue - Culver Express begins regular service through the 63rd Street Connector. The first train consisted of eight R-46's; (s) 6246-6244, 6216-6218, and 6112-6113-6111-6110.

PATH PA-1C car 143 arrives at the Trolley Museum of New York in Kingston. This car was damaged at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 and has been stored at JFK Airport since then.
